Trim Levels of the 2023 Mazda CX-50

CX-50 S and Select

This version of the CX-50 features a four-cylinder engine that gets 187 horsepower. It’s available in six different trims and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. This combination delivers about 24 city and 30 highway miles per gallon, along with a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. The CX-50 has more than 31 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to over 56 cubic feet when you fold the seats down.

The base model S includes an 8.8-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a full array of standard safety features. It has push-button start and remote keyless entry. You can jump up to the Select trim for tinted rear windows, synthetic leather upholstery, two-zone automatic climate control, a larger display with HD radio, and two USB ports for a total of four.

CX-50 Preferred and Premium Trims

The Preferred trim adds a power liftgate, power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front seats. You can upgrade to the Preferred Plus to enjoy a panoramic moonroof. Like the two base trims, these models have Mazda’s Intelligent Drive Select system, which lets you switch between Off-Road and Sport modes.

With the Premium trim, you’ll get a power-adjustable passenger seat, leather upholstery, and a 12-speaker stereo with satellite radio. The Premium Plus upgrades include 20-inch wheels, climate-controlled front seats, and a head-up driver information display.

CX-50 Turbo Trims

Four CX-50 trims come with an upgraded 256-hp turbo-four engine, which has a towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs. The base Turbo trim, known simply as the Turbo, includes the features from the CX-50 S along with adaptive headlights, a tow mode, and shift paddles. The Turbo Premium mirrors the features of the Premium trim, adding a heated steering wheel.

The Turbo Premium Plus adds driver assistance tech like road sign recognition, reverse automatic emergency braking, parking sensors, and a surround-view camera. It also has wireless device charging, navigation, and heated rear seats. The CX-50 Turbo also comes in a Meridian Edition designed for off-roading. In addition to all the features in the Turbo Premium Plus, it features distinctive hood graphics, a roof rack, all-terrain tires, and 18-inch wheels.
